The Pirates are hiring Kristopher Negrón as their bench coach and Tony Beasley as third-base coach, according to a source, bringing the Pirates’ coaching staff closer to completion.
Pittsburgh has not yet confirmed the hires.
Negrón, 39, played six years in the Majors from 2012-19 as a utilityman. A week after his retirement as a player in '19, he joined the Mariners as an assistant to the director of player development, and he took over as manager of the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers in '21. He was elevated to the Mariners’ coaching staff in '22 as a first-base coach, and he was named the third-base coach in '25.
