NEW ORLEANS — Orleans Parish voters went to the polls on Saturday to decide on three major bond propositions involving affordable housing, infrastructure, and drainage improvements.

YES ON PROPOSITION 1
Voters have approved Proposition 1, which allows the city to $45 million in bonds to support new and renovated affordable housing. Housing advocates have argued both for and against the measure, with critics warning that bonds are slower and less reliable than general fund contributions. Supporters, however, say the funding will provide an immediate boost to the Housing Trust Fund, addressing pressing housing needs amid a tight city budget.
