McKinley County Sheriff's Office deputies and New Mexico State Police officers are at the scene of a deadly crash on Interstate 40 at the 38.5 mile marker, a MCSO social media post said.
The crash was reportedly caused by a suspected drunk driver who was going the wrong way and collided with a semitruck. Debris from that collision caused another crash, the post said.
One lane in each direction near the scene on I-40 has been closed, and drivers should slow down an proceed with caution.
