DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. — The C.O.P.S. organization, which stands for Concerns of Police Survivors, is providing connections and comfort to the family of a Delaware County Sheriff's deputy killed on Wednesday .
After Crp. Blake Reynolds made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, the public watched a procession and showed their respect. But his loved ones were left with the pain of his loss. That is where C.O.P.S. can help — letting them know they are supported.
Dan Calvin is the former president of Indiana C.O.P.S., which is the local chapter. His son Jacob was a Tipton County Sheriff's deputy who was killed in a crash while responding to a call in June 2014. He was 31 years old — the same age as Reynolds.
