Penn State snaps six-game slide to beat Michigan State

Ethan Grunkemeyer threw two touchdown passes to Devonte Ross and Kaytron Allen ran for a career-high 181 yards and two scores as Penn State ended a six-game losing streak with a 28-10 win over Michigan State on Saturday. The Nittany Lions’ first victory under interim coach Terry Smith.

Grunkemeyer finished 8-of-13 for 127 yards for Penn State (4-6, 1-6 Big Ten), which avoided its first seven-game skid in nearly a century. His 75-yard strike to Ross in the second quarter put the Nittany Lions ahead for good, and the pair connected again from 4 yards out with 4:32 remaining to seal the win.

“I’m just super happy for our kids,” Smith said. “We now know again what it feels like to win.”
