PEPPER PIKE, Ohio
Traffic stop, follow-up investigation, driving under suspension: South Woodland, SOM Center roads
A patrol officer stopped a red GMC truck at 11 a.m. Nov. 7 after a registration check linked it to a hit-skip on Lander Circle three days earlier.
That crash remained under investigation, but the driver, a Beachwood man, 43, had five active warrants pending against him, as well as a suspended license.
He was arrested, with Lake County sheriff’s deputies requesting a transfer of custody. Pepper Pike police believe the driver was the same man they spoke to on the phone when they inquired about the Nov. 4 hit-and-run.
A detective asked him to find out who was driving the truck that day for his home improvement company, but the Beachwood man never got back to him about it.
