This current group of Livingston soccer seniors have already accomplished so much over the past three seasons.

But despite two Essex County championships and three SEC American division titles to their name, no one needed to remind them of the one thing missing from an otherwise stellar resume - a state sectional title.

Saturday in Ridgewood, second-seeded Livingston, No. 19 in the NJ.com Top 20, won that elusive title, when it struck for three goals in a span of 17 minutes in the second half to defeat top-seeded Ridgewood, 3-1, in the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 final.

It is Livingston’s fourth sectional title and first since 2016. Livingston (18-3-1), lost in the final each of the prior two season, falling to Ridgewood in 2023 and Montclair in 2024.
