The NDA has secured a massive victory in the Bihar election, winning 202 out of 243 seats. The BJP has become the largest party in the state for the first time, winning 89 seats. The JDU has secured 85 seats. This gives the NDA a strong strike rate of 83%.

During the campaign, the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi centred their messaging on issues like jungle raj , women’s safety and Chhath. In his 14 rallies, the Prime Minister used the term jungle raj 189 times and katta (country-made pistol) 56 times. On average, he referred to women 41 times and Chhath 10 times in every rally.

Even in his victory speech, he repeated jungle raj 5 times, katta 2 times and Chhath 8 times. As part of the campaign strategy, the Prime Minister avoided talking about the army in 13 out of 14 ralli
