The Swan Valley Stampeders earned just one of a possible four points on their weekend road trip, dropping a 6-2 decision to the Winkler Flyers on Saturday night.

Bennett Muller and Ethan MacTavish supplied the Stampeders’ offence, with Muller scoring in the first period and MacTavish adding a late third-period marker.

Winkler controlled much of the game, capitalizing on special teams by going 3-for-5 on the power play. Tanner George led the Flyers with a four-point performance, registering a goal and three assists.

Now sitting at 6-14-1-0, Swan Valley shifts its focus to a pair of home games this week: the Dauphin Kings on Wednesday night at the SRCA, followed by the Niverville Nighthawks on Saturday.
