The Sacramento Kings are off to a disappointing start in the 2025-26 NBA season. After losing their last five games in a row, the Kings have managed a 3-10 record and are placed 13th in the Western Conference standings. However, star guard Russell Westbrook has been a big boost for the Kings early this season.
Westbrook remained a free agent for the entire summer after opting out of his contract with the Denver Nuggets. Sacramento acquired the veteran point guard just before the season began as the Kings trio pushed hard for his signing.
After playing 13 games for the Kings, Westbrook has recorded two triple-doubles and extended his historical record. Westbrook, who declared himself the best rebounding guard in NBA history, was recently spotted missing easy shots on a mini hoop.
