AUSTIN, Texas — An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in North Austin on Saturday.
According to the Austin Police Department (APD) Watch Command, officers received a check welfare call just before 9 a.m.
Officers responded to the scene in the 10600 block of N. Lamar Blvd. and located the man's body. Austin-Travis County EMS medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said they are investigating the man's death as a homicide after they noticed trauma on the body once it was moved.
