Cold wave conditions continued across central and parts of northwest and east India on Sunday, with temperatures expected to remain low for the next two to three days before a slight rise.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several regions, particularly Madhya Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, experienced cold wave to severe cold wave conditions in the past 24 hours. Minimum temperatures fell by 2-3°C across many parts of central, northwest, east and north peninsular India. Rajgarh in western Madhya Pradesh recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6°C among the plains. Dense fog was reported in isolated pockets of Odisha.
