AUGUSTA, Ga. — A 3-year-old was injured in an overnight shooting in downtown Augusta, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened just before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday near 10th Street, officials said.
Investigators believe there were two groups engaged in an altercation in the 200 block of 10th Street in front of Tacocats when several shots were fired.
Authorities say deputies were able to detain three subjects at that time.
The victim was taken to Wellstar Hospital for treatment.
