Quebec Liberal Leader Pablo Rodriguez has urged doctors thinking of leaving the province to wait for a year because “we’re going to sit down with you and negotiate.”

That assumes a Liberal win next year, which may not be a fantasy given the latest poll showing the party closing the gap with the Parti Québécois.

But why isn’t Rodriguez a more regular presence?
