New Jersey residents can expect a chilly and blustery Sunday with strong winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued wind advisories for 16 counties until 7 p.m. Sunday, with the alert extending to 10 p.m. along the Jersey Shore.

The alerts include Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Warren and Sussex counties.

The strongest gusts are expected late Sunday morning through early evening as winds shift to the west and northwest at 20 to 30 mph, the National Weather Service said.

Brief gusts as high as 50 mph are possible in some locations.

The gusty conditions could blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles
