BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - After a beautiful and sunny Saturday, we will now transition into a messy and wet Sunday, with snow, a wintry mix, and rain implications across Maine.

A First Alert will remain issued for Inland and Northern locations on Sunday because of the impending wintry system. The NWS has issued Winter Weather Advisories for Western Maine from 7pm Saturday until 7am Sunday. Winter Weather Advisories have also been issued for Northern Maine, from 1am Sunday until 1pm on Monday.

After sunset tonight, clouds will enter from west to east with the low-pressure system working in. Snow will start to fall in Western Maine by midnight.
