In her first reaction since her party managed to win only a single seat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati claimed that the party would have won more seats if the polls had been “free and fair".

The BSP contested 192 of Bihar’s 243 seats, but won only a single seat in Ramgarh, where Satish Kumar Singh Yadav defeated the BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh by a razor-thin margin of just 30 votes. Yadav polled 72,689 votes (37.29%) and Singh got 72,659 votes (37.29%).
