Tangipahoa Parish voters reject sheriff’s office tax, raising concerns over deputy shortages

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tangipahoa Parish voters on Saturday (Nov. 15) rejected a proposed Sheriff’s Office tax, leading the agency to issue a curt response about the state of public safety in the area.

The Sheriff’s Office Tax was rejected with 55.2% of voters voting No to the tax.
