ANN ARBOR, MI — One Ann Arbor private school is laying the groundwork to grow programming with a multi-million-dollar plan to expand its original campus — all while welcoming new students at another school site it took over earlier this year.
Greenhills School, which has historically served sixth- through 12th-grade students, announced last spring it is taking the reins of Summers-Knoll , citing major enrollment and financial challenges at the elementary institution.
The plan, school leaders have said, keeps the littlest learners in place at 2203 Platt Road while transitioning Summers-Knoll’s operations during the current 2025-26 school year before formally opening the site as Greenhills’ separate lower school next fall.
