MACON, Ga. — Leon Jones, Macon-Bibb chief deputy coroner, said the fire happened on the corner of Third Avenue and Forest Avenue in Macon.

Tommy Patterson, 84, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
