If Franck Beaumin was a stranger to New Jersey and its statewide transit system when he arrived in November 2024, he isn’t now.

Beaumin, the agency’s second customer advocate, said he moved to Hoboken for its transit accessibility and commutes to and from work in Newark by train and sometimes on light rail. He’s traveled throughout the state by bus, train and light rail to investigate commuter issues.

Named to the post one year ago, he was previously customer service project and customer experience manager for Keolis, a transit operator in Paris. He then oversaw customer communications for Keolis Commuter Services, which operates the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s 14 commuter rail lines serving the Boston region.
