Since their formation in 2013 the Golden Heart Community Foundation has given a lot to the community of Fairbanks, because Fairbanksans have given to them. At their annual fall event Wednesday they announced their endowment fund is up to $3.2 million.

“Our mission is to build a lasting endowment with community donations to support causes that Interior Alaskans care about,” Kent Karns, advisory board member and emcee for the night said.

In 2023 the foundation celebrated $1 million in their endowment fund, two years later they’ve grown significantly.

“We are an endowment organization, and that means every dollar you give is here forever.
