The Department for Work and Pensions is set to send UK households a £150 energy bill ‘lifeline’. Households will receive a £150 "vital lifeline" towards their energy bills, courtesy of the DWP , thanks to the Warm Home Discount expansion.

Confirmation letters will be sent out to those eligible for the £150 discount, which Keir Starmer hailed as a "cash injection" that will "help people manage their bills while we fix the rusting energy system we inherited".

The Prime Minister last year expanded the Warm Home Discount scheme to help a further 2.7 million families across the UK. This means more than six million households across Scotland, England and Wales will receive help this winter.
