MADISONVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Madisonville Police Department said a man is facing multiple charges after a shoplifting investigation led to a drug bust.
MPD said officers responded to a shoplifting call Friday afternoon, which led to a significant drug bust.
Officers seized more than 35 grams of suspected methamphetamine, six grams of fentanyl, suspected Xanax and nearly $2,000 in cash, MPD said.
57-year-old David Beasley was taken into custody, MPD said, adding that he is facing several charges, including the sale and delivery of methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession of Xanax, tampering with evidence, shoplifting and introduction of narcotics into a penal facility.
