KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Department of Transportation said an exit ramp on Alcoa Highway will be shifting Sunday night and have an impact on traffic.
TDOT said beginning at 8 p.m., the exit ramp from northbound Alcoa Highway to John Sevier Highway will be shifted to its permanent alignment. The new exit will begin immediately after drivers cross the bridge over the Little River.
“This shift will allow the contractor to complete construction of the median barrier wall in this area,” TDOT said in a release.
Drivers in the area should use extreme caution as workers will be present, TDOT said, adding that access from northbound Alcoa Highway to John Sevier Highway will be altered.
