The Butler Institute of American Art held a Holiday Fun Day on Sunday to celebrate Christmas a few weeks early.
The event included make-and-art activities, face painting, cookie decorating and storytelling.
"We've done this annually since 2015, and it's activities for kids of all ages," Joyce Mistovich, director of education at the museum, said. "Well, as far as I'm concerned, art is the substance that makes everything in life meaningful. You cannot truly educate a child if you don't educate them with the arts."
From selfies with Santa and Mrs. Claus to a visit from the Grinch before a movie screening of "The Grinch", the Butler was full of festive activities. Visitors also got the chance to participate in docent-led tours and a themed scavenger hunt.
