Saks Off 5th will close nine stores across the United States beginning in January 2026, the discount retailer announced in a statement, according to USA Today .
The company, the outlet arm of Saks Fifth Avenue, said the decision is part of a broader strategy to “optimize” its store presence and focus on stronger-performing locations.
“These changes enable us to place greater attention to our high-performing and high-potential store locations, and refinements across our store footprint,” the company said in a statement cited by USA Today.
Saks Off 5th operates about 100 stores in the U.S. and Canada, according to its website .
