Major discount retailer shuttering locations across nine states

Another major discount retailer is shuttering locations as Saks Off 5 th has announced that it is closing nine stores across the country.

The closings are set to begin early next year, according to Fox Business.

Saks Off 5 th is the discount sister brand of the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue.

“As part of our ongoing and comprehensive strategy, we have taken a critical eye to our store footprint and will be closing select store locations in early 2016,” a spokesperson for the brand told Fox Business.

The outlet reported that Saks Off 5 th currently has about 100 stores across the United States and Canada. According to Saks Off 5 th , locations that are set to close include a spot in New Jersey, another in Washington D.C., as well as three in Pa. — Pittsburgh North, Plymouth Meeting
