Tony Ann, creator of hit single ‘Icarus’, visits India for 1st time

Tony Ann blushes when told that people in Goa call him the next Hans Zimmer. “It’s very flattering to be compared to someone who has achieved so much in music,” says the self-effacing Canadian composer whose own remarkable career now spans continents and genres. The internationally acclaimed pianist has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Born in Beijing and later moving to Canada, the 31-year-old Ann honed his skills at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. However, his musical path took an unexpected turn when he dropped out at 18, seeking to break free from the classical mould and immerse himself in the world of pop music, film scoring, and songwriting at the renowned Berklee College of Music. It was during his time at Berklee that Ann’s
