A Sacramento man is still in the hospital nearly two weeks after being attacked in a hate crime on K Street in Midtown, police said.
Police told KCRA 3 on Sunday that they responded to the assault in the 2000 block of K Street after 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 1 and found the man seriously injured.
Officers at the time arrested a suspect, 24-year-old Sean Payton, for assault, hate crime, and resisting arrest, police said. Payton is due in court on Monday.
Details on why the attack was believed to be a hate crime were not released.
