CLACKAMAS COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - A “recovery mission” in the area where a missing man was believed to be hunting is underway, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

51-year-old Devon Dobek of Hubbard was reported missing Oct. 31 , after failing to return from a hunting trip in the Mount Hood National Forest that day as scheduled.

His truck was found that same day by authorities near the Fish Creek Trailhead, off Highway 224 near Estacada, but there was no sign of Dobek or a deer he was said to have harvested.

A weeklong, large-scale search effort commenced, but was suspended by authorities on Nov. 7 .
