A 29-year-old man was killed on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, when a tree suddenly fell onto his moving vehicle in Rockland County, Monsey Scoop reports.

The crash happened near 445 South Pascack Road in Chestnut Ridge, where a tree “suddenly toppled onto a moving vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and crash," the outlet reported.

The National Weather Service had issued a wind advisory in Chestnut Ridge Sunday, where gusts were expected to reach up to 45 mph.

The driver, identified by Monsey Scoop as a father of three heading to Jewish learning, was initially found unconscious at the scene. Rockland Hatzoloh Paramedics transported him to Westchester Medical Center, where he later died, the outlet said.
