Penn State has taken another massive hit on the recruiting trail.

Harrisburg standout offensive tackle Kevin Brown decommitted from the Nittany Lions on Sunday, he told PennLive.

Brown had been committed to Penn State and coach James Franklin since July 2024, but after Franklin was fired on Oct. 12, things changed in the highly touted 2026 four-star’s recruitment. He took visits to both Ohio State and West Virginia — his father’s alma mater — in recent weeks.

Brown told PennLive after those trips that he was waiting to see if the next Penn State coach would retain offensive line assistant Phil Trautwein, but he acknowledged he could not wait forever .
