LEXINGTON, Ky. —
A University of Kentucky law professor has filed a lawsuit against the school, several university officials, and the head of the U.S. Department of Education, claiming he was reportedly reassigned from his duties for expressing his political views about Israel.
According to the suit , professor Ramsi Woodcock was allegedly removed from campus and barred from the law school building after he made comments about "Israeli colonialism, apartheid and genocide" and suggested military force may be necessary to end what he views as oppression of Palestinians.
Woodcock said the university labeled his comments as antisemitic under new state and federal guidance, but he believes those views are not disparaging towards Jewish people.
