COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was killed in a shooting Sunday evening in east Columbus, according to a public safety dispatcher for the city.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called around 4:35 p.m. to the 2900 block of East Moreland Drive near East Livingston Avenue on a report of a shooting.
The dispatcher said the person was taken in critical condition to Grant Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead at 5 p.m.
Police say one person has been detained in connection with the shooting.
Additional details about the shooting were not immediately available.
The shooting remains under investigation.
