The Cleveland Browns came out of halftime of their Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens with a 16-10 lead. They were also without their starting quarterback, Dillon Gabriel.
The Browns announced Gabriel was being evaluated for a concussion. They did not immediately provide an update on his status as he remained in the protocol.
It wasn't immediately clear when Gabriel had suffered the injury. The rookie completed 7 of 10 passes for 68 yards before exiting the game.
Gabriel was replaced in the lineup by Cleveland's backup quarterback, Shedeur Sanders. It marked the first NFL action for the fifth-round rookie out of Colorado.
Sanders completed his first two passes on his maiden NFL drive for 12 yards. He was also sacked for a 13-yard loss, capping off a three-and-out for the Browns.
Dillon Gabriel injury update
The Browns announced Gabriel has been ruled out for the rest of the team's Week 11 game against the Ravens because of a concussion.
With Gabriel out, the Browns will hand Sanders the reins for the rest of Sunday's action.
