WASHINGTON - Dining out in Washington has become the priciest in the nation, according to a new report from the Washington Hospitality Association.

The report highlighted the challenges faced by restaurant operators across the state, with rising operational costs and shrinking profit margins impacting families.

Anthony Anton, President and CEO of the Washington Hospitality Association, noted that customers are increasingly concerned about the climbing prices.

"Our prices are at a point where the customers are pushing back and saying we're really struggling with the price point," said Anton.

The report indicated that Washington restaurants are operating with some of the lowest profit margins in the country, causing concern among many owners who fear the trend may not be sustainable.
