A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 6:41 p.m. in effect until Monday at 7 p.m. for Chenango County.

The weather service says to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches, highest amounts over the higher terrain. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph."

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes," comments the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling.
