TOKYO (Reuters) -Japan’s economy contracted an annualised 1.8% in the July-September quarter, government data showed on Monday, compared with a median market forecast for a 2.5% decrease.

The drop in gross domestic product translated into a quarterly decrease of 0.4%, compared with a median estimate of a 0.6% decline.
