MERIDIAN, Idaho — A woman is in "serious but stable condition" after police said she was stabbed by her estranged husband in Meridian multiple times. He was later arrested in Ontario, Oregon.
According to the Meridian Police Department, officers responded to a call on Nov. 16 to the 1000 block of West Flower Garden Street. Police said they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where she is in serious but stable condition.
Witnesses identified Juan Diego Ramos Lopez, 46, of Ontario, as the suspect. Police said Lopez left before officers arrived.
The department said Oregon State Police later apprehended Lopez near La Grande without incident. Ada County issued an arrest warrant charging him with aggravated battery, a felony. Poli
