Weather alert announced for snow showers in Berkshire County Sunday evening

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 7:22 p.m. on Sunday for snow showers until 8:15 p.m. for Berkshire County.

“At 7:19 p.m., a band of heavy snow showers extended from Amsterdam to Latham moving east southeast at 30 MPH,” comments the weather service.

The weather service adds, “Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.”
