Luka Doncic has emerged victorious from a high-scoring duel with Giannis Antetokounmpo as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 119-95 away win over Milwaukee.
Doncic posted 41 points, nine rebounds and six assists and got more help than his rival from his fellow starters, with Austin Reaves adding 25 points and eight assists while Deandre Ayton had 20 points and 10 rebounds.
It was Doncic's 50th career 40-plus points game and helped boost the Lakers to a 10-4 start to the season - all without LeBron James (sciatica). Slovenian ace Doncic is averaging 33.7 points a game in his first full season with the team.
