MANCHESTER, Ohio (WXIX) - Christopher David Lindner died after an officer-involved shooting during a barricade situation in Adams County Friday afternoon, according to a statement by the family and officials.

40-year-old Christopher Lindner was shot and killed by police after a chase led to a barricade in Adams County Friday, according to Ohio State Police.

The Lindner family said the following in a statement:

OSP said after trying to negotiate a surrender with West Union police, Christopher Lindner then exited the residence armed and was shot.

The investigation is ongoing by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Bureau of Investigation.
