The Dallas Mavericks opened the season without Kyrie Irving, who has been unavailable since tearing his ACL last year. Soon after, Anthony Davis also joined the injury list with a left calf strain.
Without their two stars, the Mavericks’ struggles continued, ultimately resulting in the surprising dismissal of GM Nico Harrison. Davis remains out for tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers. It marked his ninth missed game.
However, Dallas’ concerns extend beyond just these recent absences. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the team will have to continue without Davis for at least 7 to 10 more days.
“Mavericks’ Anthony Davis will miss at least 7 to 10 more days as he rehabs from a left calf strain,” Charania wrote.
Before going down, Davis had appeared in only five games
