HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut drivers will soon see an expanded presence of speed cameras across the state's roadways.
More speed cameras will be activated in Middletown Nov. 17. They are in two areas where police said they have noticed too many drivers go over the limit.
The first site is on Country Club Road, east of Higby Road. There are cameras in both west and eastbound lanes. The speed limit is 25 miles per hour at all times.
The second site is the Spencer Elementary School zone. Cameras have been added in both west and eastbound directions on Westfield Street between McCormick Lane and Bailey Road. From 8-9:15 a.m. and 3-3:45 p.m., the speed limit is 20 miles per hour. Outside of those hours, the limit is 30 miles per hour.
Warnings for both sites begin Nov. 17, but citations
