BRANFORD, Conn. — A 19-year-old East Haven man died following a serious two-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Branford , police said.

Branford's police and fire departments responded around 11:50 p.m. to the intersection of North Main Street and Cedar Street.

According to police, one driver suffered severe injuries and first responders immediately began life-saving measures. Three people were taken to a local hospital.

Police said the 19-year-old later died from his injuries. They are not releasing his name until the family is notified.

The conditions of the other two people who were injured are unknown.

Members of the Branford Police Department and the South Central Connecticut Regional Traffic Unit are investigating the cause of the crash.
