A man on the child protection register has been jailed for breaching his reporting conditions for the 11 th time after living in the same home as a teenager.

Brodrick Lee Walters pleaded guilty to failing to comply with his reporting conditions before Magistrate Jillian Kiely in Armidale Local Court on Thursday, November 13.

Defence solicitor Nicole Polyakova said that Walters was 63 and that he was illiterate and had support from his partner and nephew, who were seated in the courtroom.

She said Walters had been in custody since May, but checks by Ms Polyakova revealed only one month of prison time was referable to this breach; the other five months had been serving revoked parole for similar offending previously.
