The Maharashtra government has said beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana should complete their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) formalities by Tuesday, November 18, as the state concludes its verification drive for the women’s welfare programme.

The state introduced mandatory e-KYC after preliminary checks detected lakhs of questionable entries, including cases where male beneficiaries were listed. Officials said the exercise is aimed at ensuring that only eligible women continue to receive monthly support.

Women who do not complete the process by the deadline risk a temporary pause in the ₹1,500 monthly transfer. Aadhaar-based authentication is compulsory, and assistance will resume once verification is updated.
