PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles’ plan was obvious Sunday night.
After another week of A.J. Brown drama , they wanted to get the unhappy star receiver more involved in the offense.
And so they went to him early and often.
By the end of the night, Brown had been targeted 11 times and caught seven passes for 49 yards. His biggest contribution, however, was drawing a pass-interference penalty on cornerback Rock Ya-Sin on a third-and-8 play in the final two minutes that helped them take the final seconds off the clock.
Brown also drew the ire of a few fans at the Linc when he was flagged for an illegal block in the fourth.
“Go read a (bleeping) book,” one fan yelled at the receiver.
That, however, wasn’t the story of the Eagles’ 16-9 victory over the highly touted Detroit Lions.
