Queensland retired rugby league player and Seven News rugby league analyst Trevor Gillmeister has been charged after an alleged incident at a Brisbane venue.
Queensland police were called to a licensed premises in Brisbane City on Friday after reports the 61-year-old man, known as "the Axe", had been evicted for allegedly assaulting a staff member.
In a statement, police said officers were stopped by a member of the public shortly before midnight in relation to a physical disturbance inside the Charlotte Street venue.
"Upon arrival officers were advised the man had been evicted after allegedly assaulting a staff member,"
police said.
Authorities attempted to speak with Gillmeister and advise him he was under arrest for public nuisance, when it will be alleged, he pushed officers away.
